Homework Policy

Homework assignments will be posted in the homework section of the class website and will be due in on Wednesday's at the beginning of class. It is highly recommended that you begin each homework when it is set and that you work in groups. However it is requested that your final write up be done individually.

The written homework scores not only count count towards your final grade and allow you to practice and refine your skills but, historically, those students who do the homework sets regularly fair better on the exams.

Grades

The course grade will be based upon the scores on the quizzes, the midterm exam, the final exam, and the homework.

The Honor Principle

Private Tutoring

Tutor Clearinghouse may have private one-on-one tutors available for Math 15. The tutors are recruited on the basis that they have done well in the subject, and are trained by the Academic Skills Center. If a student receives financial aid, the College will pay for three hours of tutoring per week. If you would like to have a tutor, please go to 301 Collis and fill out an application as early in the term as possible.

Disabilities

Students with disabilities who will be taking this course and may need disability-related classroom accommodations are encouraged to make an appointment to see their instructor as soon as possible. (All discussions will remain confidential, although the Student Disabilities Coordinator may be consulted to verify the documentation of the disability.)
