The first homework is to read through Chapter 1 of the text, do
problems
1.3, 1.7, 1.14, 1.16, 1.18.1.21, 1.28
and do your journal. This is due Thursday, October 7.
The second homework is to read through Chapter 2 of the text, do the
probability problems passed out, and the problems
1.50, 1.57, 1.97, 2.8 and 2.18 from the text. In addition do your journal.
This is due Thursday, October 21.
For November 4 read through Chapter 3 of the text, do problems
3.1, 3.2, 3.16, 3.18, 3.22, 3.30, 3.40 and your journal.
For November 18 read through Chapters 4 and 7 of the text, do problems
4.8, 4.15, 4.38, 4.40, 4.41, 4.47, 4.49, 4.64, 4.69, 7.24, 7.43
and your journal.
Projects are due at 2 pm Tuesday, November 30 in Alumni
Hall. You may find it advisable to begin with your poster at 1 pm to
be ready in time.
