Written Homework and WeBWorK homework: will be assigned after each lecture. The Written homework can be found here; the WeBWorK homework can be found by logging into the WeBWorK here.

All homework  will generally be due on Wednesday following the week when it  was assigned.  Written homework will be due at the class time and WeBWorK will be due by 8 AM.) Homework for Monday 11/12 - Friday 11/16 and for Monday 11/19 will be due after the Thanksgiving break on Wednesday 11/28. The homework for  Monday 11/26 - Friday 11/30 will be due Monday 12/3.

Late homework will not be accepted in the absence of divine intervention or matters of similar weight. Unexcused late and missing papers count zero.

Tutorials for the class are 7-9 PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays in Kemeny 006. They will be run by the Graduate Student Teaching Assistant Amir Barghi. Please note that the students in the previous years found these tutorials to be very helpful!

Honors Principle:

·       On Exams: No help given or received.

·       On Homework: Collaboration on homework is allowed and encouraged but no copying! Note that the figures, and hence the answers,  in the WeBWorK homework assignments are likely to be distinct for all the students in the class

·       In general: when in doubt ask before doing.

Disabilities: Students with disabilities enrolled in this course and who may need disability related classroom accommodation are encouraged to make an appointment to see me before the end of the second week of the term. All discussions will remain confidential, although the Student Accessibility Service office may be consulted to discuss appropriate implementation of the accommodation request. Also please contact the Student Accessibility Services located at Collis Center, Suite 301. Their contact information is phone (603) 646-9900, fax (603) 646 1229, e.mail

Student Religious Observances: Some students may wish to take part in religious observances that occur during this academic term.  If you have a religious observance that conflicts with your participation in the course, please meet with me before the end of the second week of the term to discuss appropriate accommodations.
