Getting in touch with the instructors isn't too difficult. Email is undoubtably the best way to contact us, but if you catch us in our office (either by just dropping in, or by giving us a call), then we'll probably be happy to chat with you...

Or, if it's appropriate, you can send a letter to both the instructors at once.

Course Grades Home Page / General Info. ( Course Grades )

As this course is a prerequisite for a number of math courses, as well as for many science and engineering courses, your grade in this course should reflect how well you have learned the material. Homework is deemphasized compared to some courses, but still plays some role in determining your final grade.

Section 2 grade breakdown:

10% Homework
25% Exam 1
25% Exam 2
40% Final

The Honor Principle Home Page / General Info. ( The Honor Principle )

On Homework: Collaboration is permitted and encouraged, but NO COPYING. In other words, you should feel free to talk to other students while you are in the process of thinking about a problem. However, when it comes time to write up your solutions, you should do this by yourself without outside assistance.

Tutorials Home Page / General Info. ( Tutorials )

There will be tutorials on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday nights from 7:00 - 9:00, beginning Thursday, January 6th, run by Kevin Missett.

Students With Disabilities Home Page / General Info. ( Students With Disabilities )

Students with disabilities who will be taking this course and may need disability-related classroom accommodations are encouraged to make an appointment to see their instructors as soon as possible. Also, they should stop by the Academic Skills Center in Collis Center to register for support services.
