Minimal surfaces in symplectic 4-manifolds
Abstract.An adjunction number is defined for each surface in a
Riemannian 4-manifold. For minimal surfaces in symplectic 4-manifolds,
the adjunction numbers can be used to study pseudoholomorphic curves,
totally real minimal surfaces and Lagrangian minimal surfaces.
