Daniel W. van Wyk

I am currently a John Wesley Young Research Instructor at Dartmouth College, USA. A former lecturer at the University of Pretoria, South Africa, I also held a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil.

I completed my PhD at the University of Otago in New Zealand in 2017, and my thesis is titled The structure of GCR and CCR groupoid C*-algebras. I was advised by Astrid an Huef and Lisa Orloff Clark.

My research interests are in operator algebras associated with dynamical systems, with a particular focus on the representation theory of groupoid C*-algebras. More recently, I have also studied other flavors of algebras associated with groupoids.
