This summer, Hendrik Lenstra will retire from U.C. Berkeley to take a full-time position at the Universiteit Leiden in the Netherlands. The Lenstra Treurfeest, to be held March 21 through March 23, 2003, will be a three-day celebration of Lenstra's seventeen years at Berkeley. Mark your calendar!

There will be a Saturday evening farewell banquet. Thanks to the generosity of Gary Cornell, there will also be a reception on Friday evening at MSRI.

There will be some funding available to partially offset the travel expenses of those conferencegoers who are without institutional support. Funding priority will be given to graduate students and junior faculty. Women, underrepresented minorities, and persons with disabilities are especially encouraged to attend. The conference venues are fully accessible.
