Oral Presentations: There will be a middle of the term and end of the term oral presentation and discussion. Each one will cover two course topics. They should be done during the periods Monday February 9 – Friday February 13 and Thursday March 12 – Saturday March 14, respectively. The list of possible topics will be assigned in the week before the one when the presentations are due. The presentation will be in my office 304 Kemeny and except of the topics presented they will involve a general discussion of the other course topics.
Written Homework: will be assigned after each lecture. It will generally be due on Wednesday of the week following the week when it was assigned. The Written homework and the due dates can be found here.
Late homework will not be accepted. If you feel there is a very legitimate reason for your homework to be late you should discuss this with the Instructor to your section in advance. Unexcused and missing papers count zero.
Honors Principle:
· On Oral Presentations and Discussion: No help given or received.
· On Homework: Collaboration on homework is allowed and encouraged but no copying!
· In general: when in doubt ask before doing.
Disabilities: Students with learning, physical, or psychiatric
disabilities enrolled in this course that may need disability-related classroom
accommodations are encouraged to make an office appointment to see your
instructor before the end of the second week of the term. All discussions will
remain confidential, although the
Student Accessibility Services office may be consulted to discuss appropriate implementation
of any accommodation requested. At such a
meeting please provide your instructor with a copy of a disability registration
form, which lists the accommodations recommended for the student by Student Acessibility Services within the Academic
Skills Center. The person you might want to contact at the Academic Skills
center is Ward Newmeyer, Interim Director of
Student Accessibility Services 301 Collis Center - (603) 646-9900.
Student Religious Observances: Some students may wish to take part in religious observances that fall during this academic term. Should you have a religious observance that conflicts with your participation in the course, please come speak with your instructor before the end of the second week of the term to discuss appropriate accommodations.
