Be ready to explain and comment on one or two important ideas from the chapter of Duckworth we assigned you in today's class. If you are one of the people who read the whole book, then also be ready to explain and comment on one or two important ideas from the remainder of the book (ie not the chapters Intro, 4, 5, 11 which everyone read).
2) Individually complete lesson plans for derivative learning cycle activity. (Due end of day, Sat July 8).
Individually write up a lesson plan for the in-class activity that takes students through a learning cycle in order to connect the formal, intuitive and geometric aspects of the derivative. As in class, this lesson plan should only cover the portion of class involving the activity. You may change your activity from the one you created as a group in class. This could either be tex or a scan of (legible) handwriting. Please annotate (eg in the margin) which part of the learning cycle is occurring where in the lesson plan.
