Textbook

Introduction to Probability (2nd revised edition) by Grinstead & Snell, American Mathematical Society. The hardbound version is available at Wheelock Books for $50.98. The electronic version is available online free of cost.

There will be two midterm examinations and a final examination. These exams are scheduled as follows:

The course grade will be based upon the scores on the two midterm exams, the final exam, and the homework.

On Homework: Collaboration is permitted and encouraged, but NO COPYING. On the other hand discussions of the general ideas of the problems is desirable.

Tutorials

There is no teaching assistant for Math 20. Tutors may be available for Math 20 through the Tutor Clearinghouse. If you would like to have a tutor, please go to 301 Collis and fill out an application as early in the term as possible. There may be a waiting list.
