A point moves along the x axis so that its position x at time t is specified by the function

x(t) = sin(2πt)

Determine the average velocity of the point over the time interval [0, 1.1].

Distance travelled at time t = 0 is sin(0) = 0 and distance travelled at time t = 1.1 is sin(2π(1.1)) = 0.5878. Therefore average velocity = distance/time = 0.5878/1.1 = 0.534
