  • In lecture 04, we solved some of your homework problems (3 and 9).

  • After defining some terminologies, we discussed the moment generating function (MGF), section 2.5. The benefit of MGF is convenience in calculating moments by taking derivatives of MGF by t and evaluating at t=0.

  • You are now assigned to a study group. I encourage you to discuss problems with your members in the same group. Please make sure you recognize your friends who helped you.
