First of all, the midterm test is scheduled for Feb 10. You will have a 24-hour time window to finish the test. I have not decided how many problems there will be. Your test will cover chapter 1,2,3 and some parts of chapter 4. Test questions will be similar to your homework problems (in terms of difficulty).
In lecture 8, we finished Chapter 2 after discussing the Delta method. The Delta method provides a way to estimate the variance of the transformed variable in terms of the variance of the original variable (thus, it is closely related to the change of variables in Calculus).
We started section 3.1, and briefly touched section 3.2 The next lecture will start from the convolution.
