Project

At the end of the course, each student has to submit a research project based on the material learned during the course. Students can choose either to work on a project individually or in a team of 2 to 3 students. Students are especially encouraged to learn numerical/computational methods and use them in their project.

Submission: The final project should be submitted as a poster. Students are also encouraged to present this poster at the Math Department's undergrad poster presentation (the dates will be announced in the later half of the course).

Feasibility of a project: once a student or group of students decide on a project then they must contact the instructor for approval.

Grading: the main criteria for grading a project will be the originality of the idea/problem (25%), the complexity of methods, concepts, and techniques used (25%), group presentation plus the quality of the poster (25%) and an individual oral exam (25%).
