The following is a tentative syllabus for the course.

Week 1 Numerical algorithms and errors (Ascher and Grief Ch 1 & 2)
Weeks 2-3 Nonlinear equations in one variable (Ascher and Grief Ch 3)
Week 4 Iterative methods (Ascher and Grief Ch 7)
Week 5 Eigenvalues and Singular Values (Ascher and Grief Ch 8)
Week 6 Nonlinear Sytems and Optimization (Ascher and Grief Ch 9)
Week 7-9 Monte Carlo computations
Weeks 10 Course wrap up and individual project presentations (via ZOOM)
