I am generally interested in the intersection between functional analysis, geometry, and topology. My current research is in index theory and noncommutative geometry. In particular, my current thesis work, together with Erik van Erp, is on the index theory of equivariant Heisenberg-elliptic operators on contact manifolds with a groupoid action.
As an undergraduate at UH, I worked with Daniel Onofrei on a project regarding heat control. We developed techniques to compute various approximately non-radiating heat sources, and proved that it is not possible to localize heat in a region with non-local sources, regardless of static material properties.
