Subsection D.1 2024 Fall
Updated requirement for TAs to enroll in Math 107 each term instead of enrolling after TAing twice.
Updated conferences section (section 6.3.1) with travel form requirement to match the travel funding section (section 11.11).

Subsection D.2 2023 Fall
Updated travel funding section (section 11.11) with current Guarini allotment and added travel form requirement.
Subsection D.3 2023 Summer
Updated applied prelim description and applied track recommendations, since only three applied core courses are offered each year.
Subsection D.4 2022 Fall
Updated classroom course requirements (section 6.1): it is now six courses in years 3-5 (instead of eight).
Updated references from internal grades to internal course feedback, as we now do not give a numerical score, but instead ask for comments.
Added Guarini link for student accommodations (section 11.6).
Subsection D.5 2022 Summer
Clarified course requirements: that the three course requirement also holds over summer, and that Math 117 counts as a classroom course.
In section 4.3.5, clarified that external employment (as part of an external internship) should be handled with a leave of absence.
Subsection D.6 2022 Spring
Clarified requirements for Master’s degree (see Section 9), and distinguished Math 148 as the course which represents satisfication of the Department’s math-specific pedagogical training, leaving Math 158 as the preferred choice for an independent project.
Subsection D.7 2022 Winter
No source changes other than to update to new standards for PreTeXt and convert to the newer CLI (command line interface).
Subsection D.8 2021 Spring
Changed the core course requirement for a Master’s degree, which implicitly defines many requirements for the first two years of graduate study. The changes were made to add more flexibility into the program, for example to facilitate those who are exploring interests in both pure and applied mathematics.
The old requirements were "satifsfactory completion of three out of five pairs of core coureses: (101, 111), (103, 113), (104, 114), (106, 116), (126, 136)."
The new requirements are "satisfactory completion of four courses from 101, 103, 104, 106, 111, 113, 114, 116, 126, 136."
Sections impacted are Section 4 concering the first year of graduate study and Appendix C governing formal policies.
Subsection D.9 2021 Winter

- Section 4.3.5: Clarified the description of “Advanced Planning for the Summer Research/Internship” as part of the advancement procedures for students working in applied mathematics.
- Section 4.4: Updated “Courses and Advice — Pure Math.”
- Section 4.5: Added new section describing internal grades in graduate courses.
- Section 4.7.2: Updated the description of the preliminary exam in pure math.
- Section 5: Clarified the process for forming an Advancement Committee and holding an Advancement Examination.
