    Dimensions Activities Fair Booth! Come meet prospies Thursday, April 18th from 4-6PM

    We're having lunch with Mimoza Polloshka, visiting this term from the American University in Kosovo, and it's sure to be an amazing time. It'll be a casual conversation- 12:30-1:30pm in Kemeny 201- with Boloco wraps and snacks!

    Check out GREENWAYS, the celebration of 40 years of coeducation at Dartmouth! Register for some awesome events AND go to the reception Friday night April 5th 5-7:30 PM representing the AWM. We'll be manning a table to show alumni what we're up to and it'll be a great time to meet some awesome Dartmouth women!

  • Spring Lunch Series!

  • Bring your own lunch to Kemeny 100C (Walk through Kemeny Undergraduate Lounge - it's in the back next to the vending machines) between your x-hours, 12:30 - 1:30 PM, and come get to know people of the Math Department! You don't have to be a woman in math to attend. The lunches will be a great opportunity to interact in a casual setting outside the classroom.

  • Come join AWM, DREAM mentors and their kids for winter-themed crafts, snacks, and a little bit of the mathematics behind everyone's favorite part of winter: snow! We're excited about this math-really-is-fun outreach event. (Kemeny 006, 4:30-5:30 PM)

  • Lunch with Colloquium Speaker Moon Duchin! - 01.28.2010

  • This exciting speaker was profiled in a 2008 Scientific American article, "Blazing a Trail for Women in Math: Moon Duchin." (Read the article here.) We'll have an informal lunch and opportunity to talk about Duchin's interesting life in mathematics and gender studies. (Kemeny 100C, 12:30-1:30 PM or between your x-hours)

  • Info Session - 11.16.2009

  • A joint meeting of AWM and the Math Society will cover all sorts of ways to get involved outside of Hanover. This annual event is a great way to learn about REUs, study abroad opportunities, and more! (Location and time TBA)

  • Course selection for Winter term is Nov. 4-12th. Want advice picking classes for the winter? Need a break from midterms? We'll be holding office hours to answer all of your questions, study snacks included. (Kemeny Undergraduate Lounge, 6-9 PM)

  • Back by popular demand! Come enjoy a math related movie at this math-can-be-fun event. We'll be watching "Proof," starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Jake Gyllenhaal, and there will be free food - veggie samosas! (**Haldeman 028, 7 PM)

  • The Dartmouth Mathematics Department welcomes Jen Paulhus from Kansas State University for this week's Number Theory seminar. We plan to have lunch with this accomplished female speaker. Bring your own sandwich and drink; we'll provide the desserts. (Kemeny 100C, 12:30-1:30pm)

  • Course selection for Fall term classes is on Banner Student May 13-21. Come ask women majors all your questions about picking classes for the fall. This will be a casual, office hours style event - drop by at any time between 6:30 and 10pm in the Kemeny Undergraduate Lounge.

  • Back by popular demand, Sarah Greenwald comes to us from Appalachian State University. She'll give a talk open to the entire campus at 6:30pm in Cook Auditorium (Thayer School of Engineering) about the Simpsons in mathematics (pizza provided!), and we hope to have a more intimate gathering with the AWM chapter at lunch from 12:30-1:30pm.

  • The Dartmouth Mathematics Department welcomes Georgia Benkart from the University of Wisconsin for the 2009 Kemeny Lecture for undergraduates, Wednesday, April 22nd at 7pm (more information can be found here). We'll have the chance to meet with this exciting speaker over Lou's to discuss both her work in mathematics and her involvement in our national organization. (Kemeny 100C, 12:30-1:30pm)
