Final Exam: The Final Exam is Saturday, March 13, 3:00-5:00 p.m. in Filene Auditorium. At least half of the exam will be on material covered since the last midterm exam. Barry has provided a review sheet and a practice exam.

Announcement: There will be no tutorial held this Sunday, March 7. Barry will have a tutorial Saturday, March 6, 1-4 p.m.

  • #2. Find the steady-state temperature, to the nearest degree, at the center of a square metal plate if three edges are kept at 0 degrees and the fourth at 100 degrees. Assume that the top and bottom of the plate are insulated so that the steady-state temperature distribution function satisfies Laplace's equation. Answer: 25 degrees.

    Reminder: Taggart's section will not have class on Monday, February 22. We will meet in x-hour on Thursday, February 25.
