Applying for financial support for travel
Pending final approval, we anticipate that we will be able to provide travel
support for some participants through a grant from the National Science
Foundation. Additional funding is being provided by Dartmouth College.
Preference for travel support will be given to graduate students, postdocs,
and junior faculty. More senior mathematicians without other sources of
support are also eligible to apply. We will begin allocating travel
funds in mid to late April. Applications are welcome as long as funds remain.
To apply for support, please
- send an e-mail to as follows.
- In the text of the e-mail, please indicate :
- Expected dates of arrival and departure
- Estimate of travel costs
- List any other sources and amounts of support
- Indicate whether you are a US citizen or a US permanent
resident (green card holder)
- Attach as two separate PDF files:
- Curriculum vita, including current status and list of publications.
- A short statement about your research and its connection to the themes of
the conference (less than a page will suffice).
- Graduate students, and postdocs and assistant professors who
have completed their Ph.D within the last 3 years,
should also request that a letter of
support (e.g. written by their thesis advisors) be sent directly
to the e-mail address above. Letters will be kept confidential.
