These notes are designed to provide graduate students and researchers new to the subject with the necessary tools to understand the construction of and work with interesting C*-algebras from built from locally compact groupoids. In particular my primary goals include giving modern proofs of the Renault's Equivalence Theorem, the Disintegration Theorem, and groupoid amenability as well as an exposition of the tools needed to understand and work with these concepts.
