Practice Exams

Math 3

Math 8
  • The Math 8 Credit exam covers topics from Math 3 and the first half of the syllabus for Math 8.
  • On the other hand, the exams below cover all of Math 8 as they are actual exams from previous offerings of the course.
  • So, to use these exams effectively as practice for the Math 8 placement exam, first do practice problems from the Math 3 exams above, and then the problems from the first half of the syllabus for the following exams.

Math 13

The Multivariable Credit Exam covers all of multivariable calculus and thus is close to the syllabus of Math 11. Below are practice exams from previous instances of Math 11.

Advanced courses 22, 23, 25, ...

The placement/credit exams for advanced courses such as linear algebra (Math 22), differential equations (Math 23) and elementary number theory (Math 25) are all multiple choice exams and typically 90 minutes in length. Each exam is based on standard syllabi for these courses. Syllabi for recent offerings of all of our courses can be found in our course web page archive.
